POLICE TRANSFERS
SANDON DISTRICT. CONTROL FROM MARION. Three police transfers affecting the area around Palmerston North were announced to-day, a statement also being made as to the police control of the Sanson area, for which it was suggested some time ago that there should be an extra station created in view of the congregation of population consequent on the aerodrome development at Ohalcea. Sergeant T. F. Brenchley is being transferred from New Plymouth to Marton, where he w’ill take charge of the Marton, Bulls and Sanson areas. The Marton station thus undergoes a rise in grading, as a sergeant will be in charge in place of a constable ns previously. Up to the present the Sanson area has been included in the area coming under the control of the Feilding station. Constable H. Shields, who was formerly at Terrace End and went from there to Marton, is being transferred to Opunake.Constable R. C. Ross is being transferred from Wellington to Palmyiston North to fill a vacancy caused b, the transfer, recently, of Constable J. Watt to Tauranga.
