FLOWER CULTURE
PALMERSTON NORTH SOCIETY. A meeting of the committee of the Palmerston North Horticultural Society was held on Monday, Mr A. J. Shailer presiding. The balance-sheet for the Daffodil Show disclosed a satifsnetory credit balance. The large attendance at the show indicated that the public are taking a keen interest in horticulture. Advice w r as received from the Dahlia Society of New Zealand that tire application of the local society to hold the first National Dahia Show in the North Island had been approved. This show will take place about the middle of February. Judges and stewards were appointed for the Rose Show fo be held in November.
