TRADING QUIET.

WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE. INTEREST IN STATE LOANS. More interest was shown yesterday in Government loans, whicfc were quoted at steady rates; otherwise the stock and share market was.inactive. Most oj the bank shares listed were quoted yesterday at slightly easier prices. National of Australasia, £lO paid, sold Is lower at £l3 14s, and New South Wales, Sydney register, went at £3l. Australasias, whose interim dividend, was announced yesterday, were steady at £lO Bs, sellers £lO 14s. /There was a meagre inquiry 'for industrials, which were mostly on . the easy side. Wellington Woollen, preference, were wanted at £5. Colonial Sugars were weak, sellers offering at £47 10s. Dunlop-Perdriaus were slightly firmer at 21s lOd, sellers 22s 2d. G. J.
