ENVIRONS OF BERGEN. —For many centuries the City of Bergen teas isolated and it is only within the last few years that it has been connected by rail with Oslo, the capital. The original name of Bergen teas Bjorgvin, which means “pasture amongst the mountains,” for mountains encircle the city, presenting a scene of striking grandeur.
