SUPREME COURT
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 26. Prisoners were sentenced in the Supreme Court to-day by Mr Justice Northcroft as follows: Frederick John Stevens, housebreaking and theft, 12 months’ imprisonment ; Harold Edwin Mauger. aged 20, and Raymond George Williams, aged 20, three charges of breaking and entering a warehouse and committing theft, breaking and entering a shop and committing theft, and attempted breaking and entering a shop with intent to commit theft, probation for two years; Joseph Benson, aged 18, 10 charges of breaking and entering, and theft, one of attempted breaking and entering and of being unlawfully in the possession of an instrument for housebreaking, two years in a Borstal institution.
