GLENDINNING BEATEN. Though he had headed the qualifying round, K. Glendinning (Manawatu) was'beatpn by R. Worker in the second round of the Hastings Golf Club’s championship yesterday. Championship matches resulted : First round.—K. S. Glendinning beat N. W. Smith. 6 and 5; R. Worker beat S. I. Peacock, 7 and 4; E. A. Murley beat C. S. Geddis, 2 up; R. Vesty beat E. I. Watts, at the 19th.; D. G. Sutherland beat J. 11. Grace, 3 and 1; W. T. Kuril beat W. N. Irwin, 4 and 3; P. L. Peacock beat H. J. Longstaff, 2 and 1; R. Duthie beat F. M. S. Budd, at the J9th. Second round.—Worker beat Glendinning, 2 and 1; Murley beat Vesty, 2 up; Sutherland beat Duthie, 2 up ; Peacock beat Kuru, 4 and 2.
