WARWICK FARM STAKES.
I NEW ZEALAND PAIR. Stretto and Royal Chief were due to be New Zealand's representatives in the Warwick Farm Stakes at the opening of the Australian spring racing to-day, when they would be meeting strong opposition from Allunga (who beat Talking in this race twelve months ago), Genetout (the imported French horse), Mohican and Spear Chief. * Limerick won the Stakes in 1927, 1928, and 1929, and past winners of the race include Chatham, Whittier, Windbag, Amounis and Rogilla. Sfcretto showed good form a week ago in her first race in Australia, while Royal Chief is being handled by the same trainer who prepared Limerick for his three successes. Stretto beat Royal Chief in the Awapuni Gold Cup last autumn.
