COMBINED HUNTS.

COMING TARANAKI MEETING. With big fields likely to be engaged, splendid racing seems to be assured for the combined Taranaki and Egmont-Wan-ganui Hunts meoting, to be held at New Plymouth on September 1 and 3. Racing will begin at 1215 p.m. each day. The Egmont-Wanganui Hunt Cup is the | chief event on the first day, and three Awapuni representatives, Power Chief, Hirangi and Hanover, figure in the field. An interesting entrant is the northerner King, Rod, who did not start at the Pakuranga meeting, while Tudor is scheduled to make an appearance in this race. Horses from this centre engaged in other races on the first day are Taitoa, Rolling Home, Strolling, and Shining Hours. Hawke’s Bay and Auckland will be’ represented by good contingents, while Amigo will have his first race of the season to tune him up for the Wanganui Guineas. THE ACCEPTANCES. Per Press Association.
