NEW AIRLINER.
Per Press Association. , WELLINGTON, Aug. 26. The Union Company’s new Lockheed Electra ’plane, which was landed on Monday and assembled at Rongotai, made a short test flight this morning, then headed direct for Palmerston North. It will be christened there either Kahu or.Kopara. The machine was fully tested in America before being packed for shipment. The ’plane left Wellington at 11.35 a.m. yesterday and arrived at Palmerston North at 12.9 p.m. It is now in the hangar at this centre.
