A TRIAL SERMON.
Mr. L. Hutching, of Mangamaire, Pahiatua, who is about to take up a home mission appointment at Ngaruawahia (Waikato) with the ultimate idea of entering the Methodist Trinity Theological College, preached a trial sermon in Woodville on Thursday evening before a committee comprising Bevs. T. Coats worth (Woodville), A. E Waite (Dannevirke) and W. &. \ Moore (Pahiatua). The candidate, who is a very promising young man, made an excellent impression, and his hearers were well' pleased with the service he conducted. For some time he has been on the preaching plan at .Fainatua.
