PRESENTATION.
~ln recognition of his 14 years' service as provincial president of the Southern Hawke's Bay Farmers' "Union the "executive of that body made a presentation to Mr J. Livingston. Tiie gathering was also attended by a large number of members of the W.D.F.UIn making a presentation of two engraved silver entree dishes to Mr and Mrs Livingston, the president (Mr J. C. Bolton) said that Mr Livingston had never been backward in sacrificing both time and money to the furtherance of the union's interests. He referred to the able support given him by Mrs Livingston and to her activity in the Women's Division. Mr Livingston, he said, could have carried on for many years, but had felt that the position should go round. Mrs Barker (on behalf of the. W.D.F.U.) and Messrs J. W. Murray and L. Hammond also spoke. ' Mr Livingston, who was made a lite member of the union, suitably replied.
