PROBATION GRANTED
WELLINGTON CASE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 27. George Henry Landymore, charged with failing to account for £lB 18s 3d to the A.M.P. Society, pleaded guilty before Mr J. L. Stout, S.M., to-day. The police stated that accused was employed on a commission basis only. There was £l3 12s 3d. owing, the remaining £5 12s 5d being part of his commission. Accused, on his own behalf, said he had actually lost £7 out of his own pocket. The remainder of the money had been in his possession since. The company had said that unless he had all the money paid in by a certain date there would be a police charge, and in view of the fact that it had to be all or nothing in case of a charge he had decided it would be nothing. Accused was placed on probation for twelve months, a condition being the repayment of £l3 5s lOd to the company.
