MAGISTRATE’S COMMENT.
INTOXICATION CHARGE. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 26. 111-health is no excuse for being intoxicated in charge of a motor-car. This point was made clear in the Magistrate’s Court this morning by Mr Reid, S.M. “It has been said before, in both the Magistrates’ and Supreme Courts, that it is a double reason why alcohol should not be taken,” said Mr Reid. Ernest Loncelot Henry Brown,, aged 60, retired, pleaded guilty and was fined £2O, his license being cancelled untiL September, 1939. The police said Brown collided with a stationary fish van.
