WESTFIELD SITUATION.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Aug. 24. The position of the Westfield freezing works dispute is still indefinite. It was stated to-day that, following on the agreement arrived at previously in connection with the size of lockers, a hitch occurred that left the matter in a deadlock. It was seated that he men’s demands regarding he size of ickers had been conceded at the conference between the men’s delegates and the employers’ representatives, but that it had later been urged that the agreement be ratified by the men themselves.
