FEILDING OLD BOYS.

FOOTBALL CLUB’S BALL. Favoured with a cold, clear night, conditions were ideal for the Feilding Old Boys Football Club's annual ball, held in the Drill Hall, Feilding, last evening. Striking decorations, music by a proessional orchestra, a glasslike dancing surface, a good supper and an enthusiastic committee were factors which ensured the success of the function, and it was at least equal to any held in the past under the same auspices. The function was an .outstanding success. The decorations committee achieved wonders on the drab walls of the hall, which were completely transformed by cleverly executed and striking black and white decorations. A comfortable lounge for non-dancers was arranged on the stage, where spectators found an ideal vantage point to watch the movements of the dancers. Few were there who coirid resist the invitation of the music and as a result the dancing space was well utilised. Assistance was rendered by the able M.C.’s, who kept the proceedings moving with a swing which did not leave' a dull moment.

Mesdames W. E. Baker and Hills were the hostesses. Mrs Baker wore a frock of black velvet with a floral coatee, while Mrs Hills was gowned in French velvet 'and lace.
