ELUDING ADMIRERS.
STOKOWSKI SAILS FOR U.S. LONDON, Aug. 11Leopold Stokowski, the musical con ductor, whose holiday tour ot Euiope in the company of Miss Greta Garbo, the film actress, has aroused nrucii speculation, sailed for the United States in the liner Normandie after a visit to London. During his visit he “out-Garboed Miss Garbo in liis efforts to elude admirers. Once a servant dressed like Stokowski dashed from a doorway to a car, acting as a decoy to the crowds. Stokowski, when leaving from AA aterloo Station, used a second hat to conceal his face. The purpose of his visit is believed to be connected with an entirely new kind of, film by AValt Disney, which will be largely three-dimensional, Stokowski being responsible for the music.
