MOSLEMS BURN BOOK.
H. G. WELLS’S HISTORY LONDON, Aug. 13. A summary in Hindustani of H. G. Wells’s “Short History of the World” aroused Moslem resentment by its references, to Mohammed and the Koran.,. Indignation meetings were held in Calcutta and the protest spread to London, where Moslems ceremonially burned a copy of the book. They will hold a march to the India Oificc on Thursday next in order to demand that .the book bo proscribed.
