HEIR TO £50,000.
YOUNG NAVAL RATING. Aug. 14. The young naval rating, Edwin Dwyer, aged 19, ivlis> was acquitted in the Ear East of having murdered a shipmate on the cruiser Dorsetshire, will inherit ' £50,000 from an uncle, Mr Robert Brett, when he is 21. He was Mr Brett’s favourite nephew. “But then, he was everybody’s favourite,” his mother told the Daily Mirror. Dwyer left for home immediately after his trial at Hong Kong, and went three weeks ago to a secret retreat. His father said: “Edwin is on leave from the Navy. His future is uncertain. Ido not know how the legacy may affect his plans.”
