MISHAP ON TANKER.

BURNS SUSTAINED. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. “24. Three men were taken to hospital to-day as a result of a mishap which occurred on the tanker Paua, moored at Burnham Wharf, Miramar. At about 11.50 a.m. the furnace of the tanker, which is oil-fired, blew back, and severe burns and shocks were received by three members of the crew. The injured men arc:— MR A. COOK, engineer, slight shock and burns to the face; condition not serious. Mr H. ROUNTREE, fireman,- shock and burns to face, hands and arms; condition serious. .MR R. CARMICHAEL, shock and burns to the face, hands and arms; condition serious.
