(From Our Own Correspondent.) HOROWHENUA, Aug. 22. Mr E. J. Graham has resigned the presidency of the Otaki branch' of the Labour Party. The shop day held on behalf of the Rovers’ Basketball Club was very successful. Credit is due to Mrs D. Taylor and Mrs 11. Jaoobs, together with Misses Taylor and Jacobs. The white butterfly has made its reappearance in Otaki. At, the Rahui Ladies’ Hockey Club’s social, under the guidance of Mr F. R.ule, the evening moved merrily. Euchre games resulted: Firsts, Mr A. ICarauti and Mrs P. King; seconds, Mr B. Kendrick and Miss Kata.
