Ail intense anti-cyclone still extends from Tasmania across the Tasman Sea and New Zealand, centres of high pressure being located over the south Tasman Sea and. to the north-east of the East Cape. A depression is centred near Norfolk Island, hut appears to be rather shallow. Forecast: Light to moderate winds with southerly to south-easterly predominating. Weather: Mainly fair, but increasing cloud. Temperatures, moderate; seas, slight to moderate. RIVER GAUGE. Noon.—3ft. 3in.
