EUROPEAN SITUATION

A BISHOP’S VIEWS. Received August ,24, 1.15 p.m. WINNIPEG, Aug. 23. Bishop A. E. Burgett,- of the Anglican Church, who has returned from England, vigorously assails the war scare reports in papers on the American side of the Atlantic. “Everything is all right in England. The Czech crisis passed during May when men slept beside their ’planes awaiting orders to fly to France in the event of the Germans making an invasion. The Czechs are confident there will be no war for five years at least,” said Bishop Burgett.
