W.C.T.U.
Mrs Spence presided at the monthlv meeting of the Feilding branch of I the W.C.T.U. held on Wednesday. Mrs Wright led the devotions. The members stood in silence as an expression of sympathy with two members, Mi* Martin and Mrs Robinson, in their recent bereavements. Mrs H. W. Page addressed the meeting, taking her theme from Matthew 14, verses 1 to 12. Herod did what he did after he had wine. Then the disciples went and told Jesus. The great Comforter Psalm 91 says, “He that dwelloth in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” . A wonderful provision was made for us. The presence ot Christ and the power of God were a constant help in everyday life through prayer. “Virtue goes out of us, as we help others. The Lord counts on us to do our part. We each have a work that others cannot do. Go and tell Jesus whatever happens. He will help us to witness and work for Him.” Mrs Page’s talk was much appreciated. Afternoon tea was provided by members.
