CHRISTIAN SCIENCE CHURCHES.
Christian science was the subject of tlie lesson-sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, on Sunday. The golden text was Isiiah 35: 10, “Tlie ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: -they shall obtain joy and gladness, and soi-j row and sighing shall flee away. Among the citations which comprised the lesson-sermon were the following from the Bible: “And when He was coiile into the house, the blind men came to Him: and Jesus saith unto them. Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord. Then touched-He their eyes saying, According to your faith be it unto you.” . (Matt. 9: 28, 29). Also.the following passages from tho Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy : “The theology of Christian Science includes healing tlie sick. The ancient Christians, were healers. Why lias this element of Christianity been lost? Because our systems of religion are governed more or less by our systems of medicine. By trusting matter to destroy its own discord, health and harmony have been sacrificed.” (p. 146). ,
