DAIRY CONFERENCE.
| REMITS CARRIED. NEW PLYMOUTH, June 24. A Morrinsville remit requesting the Government to repay to dairy companies any surplus in the Dairy Industry Account at the end of July was carried at the N.D.A. conference today. ,
The conference ■ also supported the Morrinsville Dairy Company in its request that the Government refund to butter manufacturing companies in proportion to their total output all moneys paid into the Internal Marketing Department, and that any difference in values between the local and export parity for the current season be adjusted. The principle of ordcrlv marketing at present in force on British markets was affirmed.
The conference supported a Morrinsville remit expressing concern oyer the farm labour position and urging the Government to complete a scheme for the provision of cottages lor farm employees at cheap rentals.
