Captain J. V. V. Wilson, formerly of the Egyptian Civil Service, and more recently a coffee planter in Kenya, has died at Bentota, off the south coast of Ceylon. Accompanied by his 19-year-old son he had entered a calm sea which suddenly grew stormy. Colonel T. E. S. Armstrong dived in fully dressed and found the son holding up his father, who, however, died on reaching land.
