WEDDING.
GRIFFITHS—CHAPMAN. A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Auckland, recently, when Olive Mary, second daughter of Mr and Mrs RChapman, Epsom, Auckland, was married to Claude Edward, elder son of Mr and Mrs J. E. Griffiths, Mt. Albert, Auckland. Rev. GladstoneHughes officiated. The bride, who was escorted by her father, looked charming in a gown of ivory satin, cut on slimming lines with lace lioral trimmings inset and falling in a long scolloped train. Her embroidered tulle veil, which also formed a train, fell from a scolloped ivory satin halo, trimmed with orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of white charm dahlias and maidenhair fern.
Attending the bride were Misses Prancis Chapman (sister)! Gladys Wright, and Harriett McGregor, who were dressed alike in redingotes of floral pink georgette over slim-fitting frocks of pink taffeta. Their headdresses were of blue flowers mounted on pink taffeta halos, and they carried bouquets of pink and blue dahlias and maidenhair fern. Mr Raeburn Griffiths, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man and Messrs Harold Oliver and Clive 1* rater as groomsmen. The guests were entertained by the bride’s parents at. a reception held in Miss Aitkenhead’s tearooms. Mrs Chapman received the guests, wearing a black tailored costume with hat and accessories to tone. She was assisted by Mrs Griffiths, who wore a navy blue redingoto over navy floral satin, with hat and accessories to match. The bride and bridegroom have taken up residence at Palmerston North.
