RAILWAYMEN’S COMMENT.
Per' Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 24. o A mass meeting of over 1000 railway workshop employees at Otahuhu this morning passed a resolution expressing “the strongest disapproval of the recent utterances of Hon. A. Hamilton in casting a slur on, the loyal, body of State industrialists in connection with the recent unavoidable railway accidents. Wo assure the Minister of Railways and the public generally that the employees concerned are careful and diligent in their various occupations, and that the standard of efficiency was never higher than at present. Consequently, we trust that intelligent people will treat with contempt such propaganda ostensibly used for electioneering purposes.”
