STATE HOUSING.
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 25. Mr J. A. Lee announced to-day the Cabinet approval of purchases of land for housing as follow: An area at Point Chevalier for approximately 157 houses, at New Lynn for 20 and at Avondale for .two. At Petone the area is sufficient for 100 and at Lower Hutt for 63. At Te Puke there is sufficient for 13 at Tauranga for 11. At Christchurch there is sufficient for Bat Spreydon and 20 at Papanui, and at Dunedin sufficient for five at North East Valley, and at Mataura sufficient for 15.
