NAVAL ADMINISTRATION.
'• Per Press Association; WELLINGTON, May 26. In regard to the reorganisation of the administration of the :New Zealand naval forces, the Minister of. Defence (Hon. F. Jones) said to(day r “My-in-tention in authorising : the; appointments recently made is for the -purpose of so. organising the ’administration that the officer responsible for advising on policy is daily in touch with the Minister, the Council of Defence and the Government. .'The chief of .the liaval staff in -.his. personal capacity would also be in charge of Imperial interests and the vessels on the New Zealand station. He would therefore be in a position to keen the .Government in close touch with the naval aspect of Imperial affairs in the Pacific. “The changes do not involve any!'increase in personnel.,” stated Mr Jones.
