Arab raiders attacked the police station at Beisan and killed a policeman. The police caught up the fleeing gang and a battle ensued in which five Arabs were killed. Two police dogs followed tracks leading to two houses from the scene of the policeman’s murder, whereupon a collective fine of £SOO was imposed on the inhabitants of the town.
