RIFLE SHOOTING.

HOROWHENUA MEETING. The Horowhenua championship rifle meeting was held on Monday at the Hautere range under almost perlect conditions. Competitors vre present from Palmerston North. 11s, Wairarapa, Wellington and nil, and eight teams competed In. the cup. This was won by Levin A. with 620 points, Petone being second with 616. The championship went to H. A. Lumsden (Hautere Club), who was a point ahead of M. Hausman, winner of th? handicap agregate. Scores are as follow : _ Service Match (300 yards).
