EUROPEAN SITUATION.

FEELINGS OF FRIENDSHIP

FRANCO-ITALLAN RELATIONS.

PARIS, April 20.

“The ice is broken, ’ sums up newspaper comment on the first steps towards'a Eranco-Italian rapprochment. Only two extreme Leftists are throwing cold water on the trend of events. It is significantly hinted that efforts may be made to conclude a general agreement before Herr Hitler’s visit to Rome which will have a profound pyschologieal effect on Europe.
