PLOTTER’S LETTER
ASSASSINATION PLAN. CONTENTS REVEALED. RUMANIAN POLITICIANS. (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) Received April 21, 9.45 a.m. BUCHAREST, April 20. The newspapers have published a letter from M. Codreanti to M. Stelescu, 6ent oil the eve of the assassination of M. Duca, a former Prime Minister. The letter formulated a plan to assassinate 200 political leaders, including members of Cabinet. M. Stelescu demurred, but he himself was assassinated by M. Codreana’s followers.
The arrests continue after the discovery of further arms dumps.
M. Codrcanu, who was formerly Minister of War in Dr Goga’s pro-Fascist Government, was yesterday sentenced to six months’ gaol on a charge of slander contained in a letter to M. Jorga, also a former Cabinet Minister.
