The monthly meeting of the Vomen’s Christian Temperance Union was held yesterday, Mrs H Paterson presiding. Several spoke of the success of the recent garden party £3 I»s being added to the funds of the Pahiatua Union. The president read some remits which arc to be brought before the convention to be held in Napier. Several articles dealing with tempeiance were read. All's Willis dispensed afternoon tea.
