The Farmers’ Dairy Union had paid out £4791 for February butterfat. The curator of the borough reserves had resigned “owing to continual division of opinion and bickering on the Palmerston North Borough Council.” At the request of a large number of ratepayers the Beautifying Society had called a public meeting to discuss the matter of the reserves. The Prince of Wales (later King George V.) and the Princess had left England on a visit to the Kaiser and Kai serin. The Terrace End School Committee had expressed disappointment to the Government at its refusal to erect a technical school at Terrace End.
