(From Our Own Correspondent.) SHANNON, Feb.’ 25. Mr P. Skoglund presided at a meeting of the Transport Licensing Board, • when an application for a transfer of .a goods license from Mr E. Thomas to Highways Transport Co., Ltd., \vas considered. Decision was reserved. At the annual meeting of the Shannon Golf Club it was resolved to go into liquidation. It was reported that efforts had been made to obtain suitable-perman-ent grounds, but without success, the present. links not being available. The club had boon in existence for some 20 years and Messrs Bovis, Ostler, Thurston, Boyd and Moody were appointed a committee to dispose of golf pavilion and gear. Mr V. Lo Mcssuricr, of Christchurch, is staying with his daughter, Airs W. It. Clough.
