An old pig paddock of a quarter-acre at Hairini, Te Awamutu, was planted in pampas grass at the latter end of October, 1934 (says the Agricultural Journal).-Tiie pampas made excellent growth, development into large bushes, and attaining a height from 10ft to 12ft.
