POPULATION CONFIDENT. LONDON, Feb. 15. Compared '.with Madrid, long besieged, Mi's Charlotte Haldane, wife of Professor Haldane, finds London depressing. Mrs Haldane lias returned after three weeks in that part of Spain controlled by the Government forces. In Madrid, she says, everyone was laughing and confident.
