INVALID KILLED.
RUNAWAY MOTOR-CHAIR. WELLINGTON, Feb. 22. Fatal head injuries were suffered by an invalid, Mr Charles Tremewan, aged 53, of Homewood Avenue, Karon, when his motor-chair apparently got out of control and overturned on a steep grade in Sydney Street, at the rear of Parliament Buildings. Making his way to the city, Mr Tremewan had travelled a long distance before turning into Sydney Street. No one is known to have seen the accident, but a passer-by found Mr Tremewan lying at the roadside in an unconscious condition, having been thrown out of his invalid chair. It appeared as though, in an attempt to check the increasing speed of the chair, Mr Tremewan had steered it toward the kerb, which it struck with great .force and overturned.
