PALMERSTON NORTH v. NAPIER

HOME SIDE 156 FOR 2.

Winning the toss, the Palmerston North Boys’ High School First XI chose to bat this morning at the commencement of the annual two-day match with the Napier Boys High School First XI and at luncheon had 156 runs for the loss of but two wickets. Steele, E. Temiierton, J.- Kelly, J. Stevens, N. Stevens, V. Josephs, J. Grainger and W. Campbell. ■ Solid batting and bowling characterised the morning’s play.
