RONGOTEA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) RONGOTEA, Dec. 14. The Rongotea Ranger Company paid a surprise visit to the home of Miss Betty Aird on Saturday to say farewell, and also make a small presentation. Miss Aird, who had been a most enthusiastic member, has had to sever her connection owing to taking up a position in Palmerston North. Mrs R. Scott, on behalf of follow members of the company, asked her to accept a pair of book-ends as a mark of appreciation for all sho had done to further the interests of tho company during her membership. Miss Aird suitably responded. A pleasant evening was 6pent, concluding with supper.
