MINING CASE.
JUDGMENT FOR DEFENDANTS. Per Press Association. GREYMOUTH, Dec. 7. uhat is commonly known as the Hochstetter case —lengthy Migration involving mining privileges located in the Ahaura district —which has on many occasions been proceeded with in the Warden’s Court, was again in the limelight to-day at Greymouth, when the warden, Mr Raymond Ferner, gave judgment in favour of defendants. The proceedings in the,present case were begun on July 6 last, when John Wilson, miner of Ahaura, aged 82, claimed £25,000 damages. Defendants were Sarah Ellen Campbell, widow, Wellington; Bridget Monica Bayne, widow, Christchurch; Mrs Theresa Margaret Goldsmith, Greymouth; Geraid T. Joyce, law clerk, Greymouth; Thomas Francis Brosnan, solicitor Greymouth; and the Golden West Sluicing Company, Ltd.
