RULE IN INDIA.
FEDERATION AIMS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Dec. 6. . Questioned in the House of Commons'on the progress of the bringing into force of the Federal provisions of the Government of India Act, Mr .R. A. Butler stated that the aim of the British Government was and always had been to carry into effect the clear intention of Parliament that the federation should follow provincial autonomy as an integral part of\the single constitutional scheme with the least possible delay. He added, after ■recounting the steps taken by the Viceroy that every effort would be made to achieve' this aim.
