AMERICAN WARNING.
BROADCAST PROPAGANDA. WASHINGTON, Dec. 7. Ostensibly referring to the regular wireless broadcasts to Latin America from Fascist and Communist countries in Europe, which are known to he causing concern to officials, the Undersecretary of State (Mr Sumner Welles), in an address inveighed against alien propaganda, and strongly reaffirmed the Monroe Doctrine. “Any attempt on the part of nonAmerican Powers to exert through from their political or material influence on American continents will immediately be a matter of the grayest concern, not only to the United States, but to every other American republic,” he said, “and appropriate action will immediately be determined as the result of common consultation among them.”
