OBITUARY.
MISS MARY MENZIES. The late Miss Mary Menzies, whose death occurred yesterday at Palmerston North, was well-known in the Colyton district, being a daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John Menzies, who came to Colyton many years ago when almost the whole of the Feilding district was in bush. Her passing recalls the activities of her parents who, during their long association with the district, accomplished much in transforming the landscape to its present high standard of productiveness. The late Miss Menzies was in her seventies and had spent most of her life in Colyton. '
NOTES. Owing to the inclemency of the weather last evening, the Feilding Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club was unable to conduct its opening programme of the season. Owing to adverse weather, to-day’s visit to the Oroua Bowling Club by members of the Thorndon Club was postponed until next week.
