CARNARVON.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) CARNARVON, ,Nov. 22. It was a pity, that, owing to the inclement night, there was not a bigger audience to appreciate the excellent programme staged by the Presbyterian Church, Bulls, 'in the Carnarvon Hall on Friday evening. The concert whs opened by an Anthem by the choir, followed by a playette entitled “Little Folks in Green,” by the children. Mrs Eylee then sang a solo; Mis 6D. Sutherland danced two highland dances in costume. The playette, “Almost a Mormon,” caused much amusement, Mr McKay, Miss Simpkins, and Mr Sutherland taking part. The action songs by the girls and dialogue and action songs by the _ boys, also the playettes, “New Red Riding Hood” and “Going To The Dentist” reflected great credit on Mrs McKay and Miss Wilson, who wore responsible for the trainihg. Mr Bailey delighted with his two songs. Mr McKay thanked the performers and all who had helped to make the evening such a success. After another anthem by the choir, Miss Wilson and Mrs Mclntosh sang “Rock Of Ages,” the stage being lighted by a pink glow, as it also was for “Light of Life” by the children holding silver candles in their hands. The playette, /‘Domestic Servant Problem,” was well acted by Mcsdames Eylcs, Ellery, and McGregor. Supper was dispensed by the Carnarvon members of the church.
