(From Our Own Correspondent.) TANGIMOANA, Nov. 23.
At the weekly card party conducted by the School Committee the ladies’ prize was won by Miss A. Smith and the men’s by Air T. 11. Jones.
An unenviable experience bofel Air Neilson, of Palmerston North, on Sunday whilst lie was driving his car along the beach from Tangimoana intending to go to Foxton. When about three miles from Tangimoana ho struck a soft patch of sand and the car became completely bogged. The incoming tide soon enveloped the vehicle, and not until Alonday afternoon could it be shifted.
The older pupils of the school were giver) the opportunity of visiting Palmerslon North on Alonday for the Jubilee festivities.
