HOCKEY TOUR.
ENGLISH SIDE FOR N.Z. “AN AMBITIOUS PLAN.” LONDON, Nov. 22. .Costing each member of the team over £IOO in travelling expenses, the All England Women’s Hockey Association is planning a world tour in 1938, including New Zealand and Australia, states the “Daily Mail.” The tour originally was planned for New Zealand only, but now Hihe association is discussing ways and means of extending it. A number of the members of the English and Reserve international teams have already accepted an invitation to tour, so a strong team is certain. Miss W. A. Baumann, the All England Association’s honorary secretary, who will be in charge of the team states: “We sail in mid-April and will spend seven weeks in New Zealand. It is a most ambitious trip and a great adventure.”
