DAMAGE TO WARSHIP.
INSURGENTS RESPONSIBLE. (British Official Wireless.) Received November 25, 1.32 p.m. RUGBY, Nov. 24. In the House of Commons in answer to a question, Mr Eden, Foreign Secretary, stated that no British ships were at present held by the Salamanca authorities.
The cost of the damage done to the warship, Hunter, for which Britain holds the insurgent authorities responsible, will be in the region of £124.000. A capital sum of about £10,500 will also be required for the compensation of the dependants of the men killed and injured in the explosion.
